About the Artist

 (b. 1998, Montreal, Canada) My name is Gaya. Im a first-gen, self-taught artist creating art grounded in surrealism and art that simply explores my love for nature. I create artwork in different mediums, including acrylics, oils, pencils, and digital.

I have always had a vivid inner world and it has profoundly influenced my art. I am simultaneously inspired by the complexities of the human experience and the beauty of nature. My work often brings natural elements into play to share a deeper idea. 

My pieces are a reflection of my thoughts, experiences, and dreams. My art is a true extension of myself. From a young age, I was drawn to expressing myself through visuals. At times - though I grew up with very little -  I always had an abundance through my creations. Art has been and will always be the channel through which I express my vast inner world. 

I share my art in hopes to connect with you. Creating art brings me closer to myself, and to people all over the world. I hope that my art brings you a sense of peace. Or perhaps, I hope that it sparks a thought in your mind or a feeling in your heart. I hope my art reminds you that you are not alone. I am eternally grateful for your love and support.
